If you hold a Certificate III in the community services or health or related field you may be able to do the next step:
  1. CHCSS00074 Child Protection Skill Set

While most educators have completed child protection training, our Behaviour Analysts and Specialist Clinicians are experts in this sector. They focus on behavioural and emotional indicators of abuse, assault and neglect.

Step 1 CHCSS00090 Supporting Children and Families with Complex Needs

Building Foundational Skills and knowledge regarding complex needs, behaviour and the importance of early intervention. Helps Educators to respond to children with complex behaviour and/or who have Autism or other complex situations.

Step 2 CHCSS00091 Team Leader

Step 3 CHCSS00073 Case Management Skill Set

Learn how to use a case management framework to support families experiencing a range of complex challenges. Attain knowledge and understanding on how to support people with certain disabilities including mental illness. Learn how to support children and families who are experiencing domestic violence, drug abuse and severe financial stress.

Step 4 CHCSS00072 Building Inclusive Practices in Early Childhood Education and Care Skill Set

Increase your knowledge on inclusive classrooms to support children with complex needs. Increase knowledge on classroom diversity and encourage all children to access supported learning, gentle teaching and feel valued as individuals.

Step 5 CHCSS00074 Child Protection

Learn about the legal and ethical responsibilities of educators when navigating the child protection space. Supports Educators to gain vital knowledge regarding their responsibility to protect children and to identify indicators of harm, trauma and situations of risk to children.

Delivery

All enrolled students are provided with resources through email on the date of enrolment, meaning that those who want to make an early start are able to.

We then invite everyone to come together where we conduct an online presentation through zoom.  This is a fantastic interactive way to complete training as everyone can see and speak to each other and is a better learning environment.

After the lunch break, students are able to break into small groups on zoom for the more practical components of the assessments.

Exceptional, interesting, friendly, very educational with different point of views for all participants

i loved being able to do it via zoom. With small children and a husband on shift work, i struggled to attend physical sessions, resulting in long stints between modules. Online learning made it possible for me to participate while he is at work.

Danielle

Awesome presentation and trainer, helpful and interactions with other members online allowed for reflective practices.

Cindy

Enjoyable – not long winded – Totally recommend this training
