About CHC30113 | Certificate III in Early Childhood Education
Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care: This qualification reflects the role of workers in a range of early childhood education settings who work within the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard. They support the implementation of an approved learning framework, and support children’s wellbeing, learning and development. Depending on the setting, educators may work under direct supervision or autonomously.
To achieve this qualification, the candidate must have completed at least 120 hours of work as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of the units of competency.

Flexible Delivery
Our courses can be generally offered mixed mode, with a variety of learning options to cater to individual learning styles. Most courses have been designed to be delivered to those aligned with a workplace to enable easy completion of the practical tasks associated with some components of assessment.
Duration
Duration of the Recognised Prior Learning (RPL) process is approximately 6-8 weeks. It is largely dependent on the student’s ability to respond to the assessment kit provided. The RPL Kit normally consists of the following sections (please note this is subject to change, please contact us for detailed information)
- Self-Assessment Questionnaire
- List of Evidence Documents & Workplace Portfolio
- One on One Competency Questioning Interview with the Trainer
- Observation recording sheets
- Third Party Verification
RPL & Credit Transfer
All courses can be completed using an assessment only pathway through RPL if the candidate possesses sufficient skills and experience as determined by the assessor.
Course Costs
The CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care is currently being funded by the Queensland State Government’s Certificate 3 Guarantee for eligible participants. Eligible students must pay a Co-Contribution Fee.
